Anyways, I'm sitting here next to my friend (We'll just call him "Code Name Friend"... wait, no, Code Name Flaming Tiger. THERE WE GO), and we're playing Sims 2 for lack of anything better to do.

He's creating his Sim to torture, and taking extremely long at it. C'mon, Flaming Tiger, hurry it up!

Ah, Flying Tiger just threatened to destroy me... or was it Flaunting Tiger... meh, I've forgotten. Let's just refer to him as "Gordy."

In other news, we're heading to a Japanese Festival tomorrow for a day of fun, taikos, gaming, sushi, anime, manga, sushi, sushi, and raw fish. Oh, and soybeans, but who really gives a crap about them anyway?

Okay, okay, sorry... you, umm, you matter, alright?

Umm... yeah, anyways, I'm bored, if you can't tell.

Another Post!

:O

What's this? Another post! EGADS! WHY ARE YOU READING THIS BLOG!?

Eh, oh well, I have it, might as well write on it, right?

Well, as I sit here watching "The Mask," I'm still bored... I know, you'd think watching that movie would have me entertained, but it really isn't... It's almost over. Hey, it's over now, now it's America's Funniest Home Videos...

Hmm...

Anyways, I'm going to a Japanese Festival in two days... excited.

Guh, I'm totally lost as to what to talk about...

Though I must say, I've rather enjoyed having a blog so far, very interesting, even if nobody reads it. (Except you, you weird person...)

In other news:

Kanye West is a Jackass.
Now, I'm not a big fan of any of these people... IMO Beyonce and Taylor both sing like banshees and Kanye's just a two year old, but seriously!? What the hell was going through his mind? He was honestly surprised when they booted his ass out of there? Gah, spoiled ass brat celebrities, that's our problem...

I'm officially done with Season Two of my Teen Titans watch through. "Aftershock" moved a little faster than "Apprentice," but had a much better ending, even if it was slightly sad. Though I did feel sorry for Terra, after the first part I felt she deserved it all. OH well, she was deep down my second favorite Titan, next to Raven of course.

I saw 9. I'm not gonna spoil anything about it because it was amazing.

Other than that, I have nothing more to speak of... yeah.

Wel, kthxbai.

Hmm...

No posts for awhile... I guess I haven't had anything interesting to talk about. Oh well, I deleted the last five posts, as they all sucked. That story belongs elsewhere. I'll try to post more later, as I'm tired from raging insomnia at the moment, but I'll post my thoughts about 9 and other things tomorrow I guess...

Oh well, cya'll.

EDIT: Or atleast I tried to delete them... oh well, I'll figure it out some other time.

Long, I know. But SHOOSH. You sound like Helix!

Crap, I just referenced a friend... GAH.

Oh well, hope you enjoyed, again, not sure why you're here, but thanks for being here and reading anyway.

Silence ~ Day Three

This time, Jordan woke up peacefully. So peacefully, in fact, he thought he was back home in his room, sleeping on his bed. Any moment now his dad would burst in the door and tell him to wake up because it was noon. Everything from before was all a dream, it had to be. Melanie and Matteo dying, people getting up after being killed, being trapped in the school...

... It had to be.

Jordan opened his eyes, ready to smile and sigh in relief, but he wished he hadn't. The room around him wasn't the familiar green walls with a computer in the corner, but instead it was the science room they had taken refuge in the night before. It was a feeling of sadness and disappointment like Jordan had never known.

He slowly heaved himself up, realizing he was sleeping on a table. The first thing he noticed about the room around him was that it smelled awful. His eyes went wide, and he quickly jumped off the table, scanning the room. He didn't see a single one of those things inside the room, just Jack, Brian, and Renae. So where the hell was the smell coming from?

Walking over to Renae, he saw what was causing it: chemicals. She was mixing them into small handmade containers, and they all smelled equally like crap. Jordan looked over to see Jack sitting on the other side of the desk, and decided to ask him instead of disturbing her.

"So, what's going on." He asked quietly. Despite his effort, it was still Renae who answered him.

"Creating a bad scent. If they can track us and each other by the way we smell, then we'll just have to cover up the smell with a different one. Jack's idea, genius really..." She explained, and Jordan had to admit that it was a pretty good idea, except...

"What if my theory's wrong? In that case, this wouldn't have any effect." He argued.

"I doubt that, your theory seems to be pretty spot on." Jack replied. "Besides, if it doesn't work, we have all the stuff we need to defend ourselves."

"A lot of good that's done us so far." Jordan said with a pained laugh. "Three out of five of our original group are dead, and we're still trapped in the school."

"Then we'll just have to make sure nobody else dies, now won't we?" Jack replied.

"I don't think it's that simple..." Jordan began.

"It could be." Jack answered before he could go on, and Jordan had to admit that it was a pretty convincing comment. He decided to simply nod in reply.

"Okay, well, she should be done soon. We should probably get ready to go, we both know we won't be getting any help from him..." Jack said, gesturing to Brian. Brian, hearing this, turned around to face them.

"You think I should care about what happens to you idiots? The only person I care about is me, and that's the way it's gonna stay. I don't give a crap if you live or die, as long as I survive." He said, then turned around and continued ignoring them. Jack shrugged, and the two of them began to gather supplies.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ten minutes later, the capsules were finished. They smelled awful, an strong ammonia scent with a few others mixed in. They were, at last, ready to make a final run for the roof. Basic positions, Jack at the door and the other three ready to run out the second the door opened.

"Alright, you guys know the plan." Jack said. "Head for the stairs, get out the window, climb up on the roof. We all clear?"

The group nodded in agreement, and prepared to go. Jack counted down from three, and then thrust the door open...

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The smell worked, it seemed, because the group was ignored by the things flooding the hallway. They could walk around through the crowd, and they wouldn't pay them any attention.

"Aw, man. This is too easy! These things are more retarded than I thought if this is all it takes to trick them." Brian was laughing at the things that had converted his life into a living hell. Some of the crowd stopped moving. The other tree signaled him to shut up, but he just laughed at them.

"They can't hear me! They're just a bunch of-!" He was cut off mid sentence as one of them tackled him from behind. As it bit him, he screamed louder than any other member of the group had. At this, the entire crowd stopped moving. When Brian was finally dead, the hall was completely free of sound...

Until Jordan realized... They were listening for breathing.

"Go!" He yelled as the crowd began to charge at the trio. Not much fighting was needed to get to the stairs, but the stairs themselves were covered. It reminded Jordan of how the stairs always used to look on a school day...

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It took what Jack estimated to be twenty minutes for the three of them to fight their way up the stairs. There were less of them up there, but still a whole lot of them. All charging at them at once, it was extremely difficult not to lose your balance and go tumbling down the stairs, but he managed.

Renae wasn't so lucky. She was tackled, and sent over the railing to her death. Jack cringed at the sound of the two of them hitting the ground. He noticed Jordan moving forward and continued to follow him. He was tackled by one, causing him to fall towards a table. His attacker clipped its head on the corner of the table before it could bit him, and he cut his leg on the edge.

Jordan quickly helped him up, and they both continued moving down the hall. He looked out the window, and all of his hopes and plans were crushed...

They were on the roof, too. Some of the windows were open, so he assumed that's how they'd gotten there. Jordan saw this too, and instantly started looking in every classroom they passed. He seemed to be looking for something particular, but he failed to mention what it was.

When they reached the third classroom down the hall, he seemed to have found what he was looking for, because he grabbed Jack's hand and threw him into the room.

"What are you doing?" He yelled, as he noticed Jordan wasn't coming into the room himself.

"Neither of us are going to survive this, I can guarantee that. There's a video camera in there, use it! I'll buy you some time, just make sure people know what happened here!" Jordan yelled in response, closing the door between them before Jack could reply to his directions.

He didn't know what to do... So, he walked over to the camera, picked it up, and turned it on. Full battery, how fortunate. He sat for a moment, thinking about what he was going to say while blocking out the constant thuds on the door.

Then he hit record.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"My name is Jacques Rudel. I'm the last survivor of what was once a group of seven. For the past three days we've been chased around West High School. I'm currently taking refuge in one of the higher rooms, where I've found this video camera. However, I know for sure that very soon I will not be a survivor anymore. I'm recording this so that anybody who finds it will remember the group that fought beside me. There names were..." He paused for a second.

"Ashley Williams."

The vain and extremely attractive girl, taken down in the hallway when she refused to defend herself.

"Matteo Cordoba."

The dedicated ROTC student, taken down in the hallway in front of the eyes of his childhood friend.

"Brian Welter."

The annoying and selfish one, taken down due to his own stupidity.

"Renae Stevens."

The teacher, tackled to a plummeting death.

"Melanie Richards."

The girl that wanted to be everyone's friend, victim of an excruciatingly painful death.

"..Jordan Schupp."

The quiet outcast, sacrificing himself so that Jack could make sure their story was known.

"Thank you..." He said, finally turning the camera off. He looked out the window to see a sky blackened with smoke.

Then Jack, Jacques Rudel, turned to face the door as they broke the door down.

Anybody alive to listen at that moment would've heard a short struggle, the knocking over of desks, and then...

Silence.

Silence ~ Day Two

Jordan was jolted awake by yet another scream of pain from Melanie. Since everybody but Ms. Stevens had laid down to try and sleep they'd become more and more frequent, but this one was louder than the others. Jordan immediately jumped up and rushed over to her, seeing that Jacques and Matteo had done the same.

Her leg still hadn't stopped bleeding, but Ms. Stevens had it under control enough so that it had significantly gone down. She was apparently still in great pain that was starting to get worse, and had said her vision was getting blurry and that she was getting nauseous. She was sweating and breathing hard, and generally looked pretty bad.

"There's nothing you three can do." Ms. Stevens said, looking up at the clock which luckily still worked. "It's about 6:30, the computers should be working now."

Jacques quickly ran over to the computer as Jordan looked around the room to find Brain and Ashley, both of which annoyed him greatly. They'd both been equally useless yesterday, Brian only working to defend himself, and Ashley doing pretty much nothing but shouting directions. He hated to say it- or did he?- but one of them should've been in Melanie's place.

"Hey, it's working!" Jacques yelled. Jordan and Matteo quickly rushed to his side as he logged in. Once the computer finished loading, Jacques clicked on the internet explorer icon. The internet loaded perfectly, it was fortunately still up.

"Move, let me try something." Matteo said, getting into the computer chair. As he did this, Jordan noticed for the first time that his ROTC uniform was practically painted red with blood. In fact, now that he looked around, everyone's clothes were. It was a bit eerie to see, sending chills down his spine with just the sight.

Matteo, meanwhile, was logging onto a forum he was a member of. At first glance there seemed to be no new posts, until he scrolled to the bottom, a new post was shown in General Discussion. The topic was titled "Any Other Survivors?" So far, seven replies had been posted. Matteo clicked the "Post Reply" button, and began to type.

"I'm alive, six others with me. Does anybody know what's going on? Is this happening all over the world, or is it just in the states?"

Pressing the submit button, the message was posted. The three then began to wait for a reply, refreshing the page every minute or so. It didn't take long for a reply, only about ten minutes or so.

"I don't really know what's going on, but from the way it's spreading I'd guess a virus. As for if it's happening all over the world, last time I heard parts of Japan and pretty much all of Australia haven't been hit yet. I'd guess a bit of Indonesia as well. Otherwise, we know the UK is gone, most of Europe, Asia, and Africa, too. All of North and South America is gone. Last I heard, China was violently defending themselves as much as possible. Other than that, I haven't heard anything else."

Matteo refreshed again to find somebody else had posted. No words in this post, just a world map. A key to the map said that the areas that had been hit were red.

Everywhere except for the locations given by the first poster were a blood red color...

The world was gone...

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Several hours had passed since then. Jacques had tried to call 911 and his house, to no avail. Melanie's screams of pain had become louder, and now she was throwing up small amounts of blood. Brian was still asleep, as it seemed that was what he was best at. Ashley had since woken up and gone straight to a mirror, much to Jordan's annoyance.

"My freaking hair is all messed up..." She said, clearly ignoring Melanie's latest cries. Jordan decided he couldn't take it anymore, enough was enough. He quickly got up, dodging one of Matteo's quick attempt to stop him. Suddenly, all eyes were on him.

"Are you serious? Do you even care about anything? Those things are flooding the school, no, the whole damn world! All of our friends, our families are dead! Someone in this room is in more pain than any of us could even imagine! All this and more is happening all around you, and you're complaining about your hair!" Jordan stopped himself from slapping her, and walked back to his seat. "You should be the one lying here, not Melanie. Offense intended."

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It was almost twelve hours since day two had officially started. Brian had finally woken up nearly two hours earlier, yet still proceeded to do nothing. It had been a rather uneventful time since Jordan's outburst at Ashley. According to their sources, in the time since they'd last checked: China was gone, Indonesia as well. Australia and Japan were beginning to get hit, and fast.

In other words, things seemed to be getting steadily worse around the world. Nobody in the room had heard a military jet fly overhead, no helicopters, no sirens, nothing. In fact, the only military defense attempt anybody had ever heard of since it all started was the one in China, and that hadn't lasted very long. Granted, there was little to no communication available right now, but there should've at least been something! This was pathetic!

"She's convulsing!" This shout shattered the thoughts of everybody in the room. As the heads turned to Ms. Stevens and Melanie, who's chest was thrusting up and down, and it seemed that she was gasping for breath.

"Her lungs are filling with blood, and it looks like she's choking on a large amount as well." Ms. Stevens said in a panic. Jordan rushed over to them.

"What do we do?" He asked, his eyes begging her not to tell him what he knew the answer was going to be. Unfortunately...

"I don't know, I'm a science teacher not a doctor!" She yelled, then closed her eyes and took a deep breath, calming herself down. "I don't think there's anything we can do. We just have to let her die at this point..."

...She said it.

Jordan was speechless, all he could do was drop to his knees next to her. There were no tears, this was not a time for tears. He didn't even know if he had any tears to give.

"I'm sorry..." He said. Then he said it again, and again, and multiple times after that. He knew she couldn't hear him, but he didn't care. He said it anyway. After the longest few minutes of his life, Melanie's convulsing stopped, and she died.

Jordan immediately got up and silently walked over to the other side of the room, his back to her corpse and everybody else. He put his head against the wall and closed his eyes, trying to get everything and everyone out of his mind.

"Holy crap!" His attempts were crushed as Brian shouted, and he turned around to see Melanie, alive and charging at him. He was sure he'd die right then and there, but Matteo saved him by swinging a hockey stick into her face. Melanie's body instantly fell limp to the floor, and for a long few minutes nobody did anything but stare at it. There was nothing else they could do. It seemed like hours before Jacques spoke.

"It's the bite... This proves it. It has to be." Jacques said quietly.

"Makes sense..." Jordan said in a voice full of sorrow. "It explains how it spread so fast and why not everybody is effected. If it were airborne, foodborne, or waterborne, everybody would be effected. This explains the speed it's spreading... First person bites one, both bite another, so on and so forth."

Everybody tried to think on this new development, but were interrupted by a large thud on the door.

Then another.

Then another.

"What the hell are they doing?" Jacques said. Jordan wasn't sure he could answer that question. They seemed to be trying to break down the door, but why all the sudden? Jordan racked his brains trying to figure it out. He took a deep breath, and it came to him instantly.

The smell.

Melanie had only died about ten minutes ago, it shouldn't have smelled as bad as it did right now. Not this quickly, atleast. Maybe...

"It's the smell." Jordan spoke out loud.

"What do you mean?" Matteo said, a confused look on his face that mirrored those of the rest of the group.

"Melanie smells too bad for how long ago she died, and it's spreading through the air. They're not attacking each other, so there must be some method they have of telling each other apart from normal people. They all smell really bad for having just died yesterday, maybe it's how they tell us apart from them, we smell differently. Now they smell her, and they know that we could be in here too, so they're trying to get in." Jordan explained his theory in full. It made perfect sense to him as he said it.

The group thought on the possibility for several minutes. It was quite awhile before anyone actually said anything, but Matteo was the first to speak.

"If that's true, then we can't stay in here... we have to move." He said. "But we can't just go without a plan, like we did last time. We need to know where we're going this time."

"Right, I agree. So where would be a good place to go right now?" Jordan asked.

"The roof." Jacques answered. "Get on top of the top floor halls. They probably won't be able to climb, and we'll be seen if a helicopter happens to pass over."

"It's a good idea, but we'd never be able to make it in one run. My room is just down the hall, halfway between here and the stairs. It would make a suitable checkpoint." Ms. Stevens said.

"So that's where we'll head, then." Jordan said as another thud sounded on the door. "We better make it fast, too. That door won't hold up much longer. Grab all you can, and make it fast!"

The group began scuffling around the room, grabbing all the defensive weapons and other equipment as they could. Noticing that Ashley was doing nothing, Jordan grabbed a hockey stick and marched up to her.

"Here." He said, forcing the stick into her hands. "Try actually doing something this time."

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ten minutes later, everybody was at the door and prepared to fight their way through the crowd of creatures outside. Jacques was once again braced and ready to open it.

"Alright. Three, two, one!" He threw open the door, bashing quite a few people aside at the start. The group immediately ran straight into the horde of people, bashing any one of them that got too close as they made their way towards Ms. Steven's classroom at the end of the hall.

A scream sounded out from the hall, and Jordan whipped around to see Ashley had been overpowered and brought down.

Good riddance. Jordan couldn't help but think that, no matter how horrible it sounded. However, it seemed karma was biting back hard that day, as when Jordan turned back around the first thing he saw was Matteo tackled from behind.

"No!" Jordan yelled, and ran over to his friend's aid, hacking rapidly at the thing on him until he was sure it was dead. But it was too late...

Matteo was now a corpse, staring blankly at the world. Jordan, knowing what he would've wanted, took the bat he'd been holding up from the floor and crushed his skull before he could come back.

He then turned around to see that Jacques had been defending him from behind that whole time.

"Brian and Renae are already in the classroom, let's go!" He shouted over the scuffle of stomping and running feet. Jordan nodded, and they both began to move forward again.

"You're calling her Renae now?" Jordan asked as they ran.

"Titles are pretty much pointless now. I'd appreciate it if you called me Jack from now on." He answered, and the two continued their fight forward.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When they finally arrived inside the classroom, they saw Ms. Stevens- no, Renae messing with something under her desk, and Brian, of course, was asleep. Renae pulled out a sandwich and split it in half, giving the halves to Jordan and Jack.

Afterwards, Jordan immediately fell asleep.

That night, Jordan had a dream. He was running away from what originally looked like a large cluster of the things his world had been destroyed by, but when he looked at them closely, it turned out to only be Melanie and Matteo. He ran as much as he could, but, in the end.

He died...

Silence ~ Day One

(All names in this story are fictional. Any persons with the same name of any character in this story is a blatant coincidence.)

Just another normal day...

Jordan Schupp was spending lunch the way he always did, alone and sitting against the wall. He didn't have many friends in that school, he never had in the past schools either. Even after two and a half years at high school, he remained as antisocial as ever. He didn't mind, though. It allowed him to be an outcast, an observer looking in from afar. he could look at the separate little groups of West, see how stupid some of their activities looked from the outside, and they wouldn't pay him the slightest bit of attention as he silently mocked them to himself.

He was suddenly jolted from his thoughts by somebody tapping on his shoulder, and looked up to see Melanie Richards looking down at him, smiling. Melanie was best known around the school as the one who wanted to be everyone's friend. For the most part, she succeeded in this goal, even if some found her a bit annoying for it. Closing his eyes and leaning his head back on the wall, Jordan decided there was no point in ignoring her, and began to speak.

"Yes? Can I help you with anything?" He said, very careful to keep the irritation out of his voice.

"Why do you just sit here by yourself?" She asked, for probably about the hundredth time this year.

"Because it's how I've spent every lunch since day one of freshman year. It's really not a problem for me, I like the peace I get from nobody bothering me." Jordan said, re situating his body so he was more comfortable against the wall.

"It's not healthy. You need human contact, otherwise life is boring." She said, sitting down next to him. He was seconds away from telling her that he got all the contact he needed from her, but was interrupted by a familiar cry from a crowd standing by the windows of the bridge.

"Fight!" Someone yelled, and the word quickly echoed across the entire bridge. Jordan got up just in time to see a guy he didn't know charge and tackle one of the football players, both disappearing behind a shrub. People were cheering and jumping around as the other guy, Jordan was pretty sure his name was Sam something-or-other, was beaten to a pulp... or atleast that's what people guessed was happening. The only thing they could really see was the attacker's back moving up and down, and the occasional flailing of the football player's arms. Jordan heard Melanie sigh, and he knew, without looking, that she was shaking her head in disgust. She hated fights, that Jordan had learned a long time ago.

"I'll be back, I'm going to go see if I can't break them up before the police get involved." She said, but Jordan grabbed her arm before she could go. At that moment, the school officers showed up at the scene. About this time, Jordan could swear he saw blood spraying from the football player's now limp body. His fears were confirmed when the officers came into view of the fight, and immediately switched to shocked looks as they pulled out their tasers.

They didn't do that for normal fights, he was sure of it. So what was different in this one? Before he he could ponder the thought any longer, he saw the attacker get up and attack the officers.

The football player was apparently dead...

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Matteo Cordoba was coming back from the ROTC room when he heard the familiar cry of "Fight!" Rushing to the far end of the bridge, he quickly located Jordan Schupp standing in a shocked looking crowd next to Melanie Richards. Jordan was Matteo's childhood friend, one whom even rode the same bus as him. He hadn't met Melanie much at all, but he knew enough about her to know what kind of person she was.

"What's happening? Who's fighting who this time?" He asked Jordan, trying to make his face atleast look serious, even though he was fighting off the powerful urge to laugh at the situation. However, this urge vanished when he saw the look on Jordan's face.

"I highly doubt this is a run of the mill fight..." Jordan replied, pointing to the ground where the concrete was covered in blood, more blood than Matteo had ever seen in his life. Then Matteo noticed that the officers were outside, and had shot a man Matteo had never seen with a taser, and he was now seizing in place.

"What the hell..." Matteo said, a confused look on his face, which quickly turned to surprise, then intense fear as he saw something he never thought he'd see: The dead football player got up, and charged the cops, taking one by surprise and tackling him. Hundreds of surprised students' expressions switched to shock as the football player did something extremely recognizable to anybody: He was biting the officer he had tackled.

Then everybody heard a window on the other side of the bridge break, followed by a large amount of screams.

Then all hell broke loose.

A large amount of other people had broken through the windows on the opposite end of the bridge and were already attacking their victims. Jordan immediately grabbed Matteo and Melanie's arms and began to run, leading them towards the gym. He had no idea what was leading him to the gym, and he was positive there was no god involved him this, yet he had a strong feeling that the gym would be the safest place right now...

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ashley Williams was in the cafeteria at the time of these happenings, sitting at a table with her friends while applying makeup. The others at the table where either talking, or doing the same. It was an ordinary day for her.

Some of the girls stopped their activities when a large amount of screams came from outside the cafeteria. Ashley looked up from her mirror for a few seconds, then went back to looking at herself as she spoke.

"Some guy probably just jumped out of a corner and scared a bunch of girls. Why are you so surprised?" She said. However, it seemed she was proven wrong as a group of panicky people rushed into the cafeteria. Ashley rolled her eyes and signaled for the rest of the group at the table to leave with her.

The second they opened the door, a man jumped at and tackled the girl to the right of Ashley, her best friend in the group. The others quickly panicked and ran back into the cafeteria, but Ashley was too shocked, and simply stood there frozen in fear as the man bit her friend... He was actually biting her!

As the man looked up and saw her, he got up from her now dead friend's body and began to chase after her. She panicked, and ran away from the doors to the cafeteria, heading towards the new wing. She was suddenly halted as she ran into three others in front of the gym doors. One of the guys looked up and saw the man that was chasing Ashley.

"Come on!" He shouted, as he quickly got up and helped her and the other two up. Then rushed into the gym, quickly closing the door behind the four of them.

"Hey!" Somebody shouted from the other side of the gym...

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jacques Rudel was the king of the jocks at West, so much so that he was given special permission to be in the gym to run laps during lunch. During this time, the gym was usually locked and nobody was allowed inside, but the coaches had given him an extra set of keys for this exact purpose. He was running his usual laps around the gym when four people burst in from the front entrance, and quickly closed the door.

"Hey!" He yelled. "Hey! You're not supposed to be in here right now!"

One of them, a guy who was tall but very skinny turned to him with a very serious expression.

"Shut up. Is there any way to lock these doors?' He said with a rather demanding voice.

"Look, I don't know who you guys are or who you're running from, but I'm not gonna lock the doors just so you can get away from them.." He answered. He was about to go on speaking, telling them to get out, but he was quickly cut off by the skinny guy again. This time, his voice was much louder and he was speaking slower.

"Is there any way to lock these god damn doors!?" He yelled, making a slow approach towards Jacques. Jacques stood his ground, he was sure he could take this guy.

"Yes, I have a set of keys that the coaches gave me, but I'm not giving them to you. If I have to, I will go out there and get a coach to help me force you guys out of here." Jacques said, trying to keep a threatening tone to his voice. He was never good at scaring people. The guy simply shook his head and chuckled a bit.

"Trust me," He said. "You don't want to go out there."

"Oh yeah? Watch me." He said, and started making for the side doors. Halfway there, he heard another shout, this one from the other guy, a Latino guy in an ROTC uniform.

"If you go out there, you will die!" He said, putting extreme emphasis on the last three words. Jacques almost stopped, but then shook his head and kept going, hearing the steps of the skinny one coming up on his fast.

"Shut up." Jacques said, and opened the door. Low and behold, the first person he saw was the coach. The coach looked over at him, his eyes wide.

"Ah, coach, good, it's you. Look, I have a group of people refusing to get out of the gym, help me out?" He said, but then was pushed aside by the skinny guy as the coach charged at him, revealing a gaping wound on his shoulder. The skinny guy quickly shut the door, and a large thud sounded through it a few seconds later. Jacques got up from being pushed out of the way, wiping a bit of sweat from his brow.

"What the hell just happened? What's going on?" He asked, quickly pulling out his keys. The skinny guy grabbed them from his hands and looked him straight in the eyes.

"I have no idea."

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Renae Stevens was a science teacher at West who had been on hall duty downstairs when the incident occurred. She had been close to the boys locker room door and about to turn around when the weights teacher turned the corner and charged at her. Panicking, she tried the door to the locker room, and it seemed luck was on her side, because it was unlocked. She quickly rushed into the room and closed the door. A series a dull thuds was heard as she guessed the man was throwing himself against the door.

She quickly crossed to the other side of the foul smelling room, and opened the door to the other side very quietly, so as not to attract anybody else. She then crossed the hall, into the next set of doors, and quickly went up the steps and arrived at the door to the gym. She grabbed the handle, turned it, and saw somebody fall on their face in front of her with keys in his hands...

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After the jock-head Jordan had recognized as Jacques Rudel handed over the keys, Jordan quickly ran to the individual doors, testing each key to figure out which went to which door. The final door that needed to be locked was the far right door going out to the hall leading to either the auxiliary gym and the stairs down to the locker room. But just as he began to test the keys, the door opened, and Jordan lost his balance, falling on his face.

The woman who had opened the door helped him up, and he got a good look at her face. He instantly recognized her as the science teacher Ms. Stevens.

"What are you doing here, how'd you know to come here?" Jordan asked as Matteo and Melanie rushed to his side as well.

"I was kinda chased here, didn't have much choice." She answered, coming completely into the gym. Jordan closed and locked the door, then turned and counted the amount of people inside the gym to see how large the group was.

"Six of us. That's not a bad turnout, I guess. Maybe we're not the only lucky ones..." He said, an expression on his face that showed he was making plans.

"Seven." Ms. Stevens said. Jordan looked back up at her with a confused look.

"No, there's only six of us here..." Jacques said.

"Don't tell me your iPods and such have deafened you all to the point that you couldn't hear the snoring coming from behind these bleachers, did they?" Ms. Stevens replied, pointing towards the bleachers up against the stage-like section dividing the back and main gyms. Jacques walked over to the side and looked behind the bleachers.

And there he was, a guy sleeping behind the bleachers. He was wearing ripped jeans, a black hoodie, and had long, dark hair. He looked like your average stereotypical druggy.

"Hey! Wake up!" Jacques yelled into the "alley" along with pounding on the side of the bleachers. The guy jumped up almost immediately.

"What the hell, man?" He shouted back.

"Get out here. Now!" Jacques shouted, and backed away to give him room. When he was finally out, Jordan's eyes once again moved over the group.

"Alright, seven people." Jordan said, once again looking down as if planning something.

"What the hell is going on? Why do you need seven people? I was taking a god damn nap, idiots." The new guy said, looking more and more angry by the second. Jacques quickly got in front of him to look him in the eyes.

"You shouldn't have even been taking a nap in here in the first place! This is a gym, not your freaking bedroom." He said. The new guy simply rolled his eyes.

"Okay, mom. Whatever. Now what the hell is going on?" He said, this time more fiercely.

"We'll explain later, just tell us your name." Jordan said, trying to stop the oncoming fight. Luckily, he succeeded, as the new guy backed off and answered him.

"Brian Welter. And you four are?" He asked. Jacques turned around to look at them, and Jordan was pretty sure he wanted to know the exact same thing.

"I'm Jordan Schupp, the redhead girl is Melanie Richards, the ROTC guy is Matteo Cordoba, and I don't know her name..." He said, pointing to the black haired, rather attractive girl they had accidentally collided with in front of the gym doors.

"It's Ashley Williams." She said, with quite a bit of attitude in her voice. Jordan immediately took back his mental compliment about her being attractive.

"In case you don't know, I'm Jacques Rudel." Jacques said, figuring he might as well introduce himself as well.

"I'm Ms. Stevens, for those of you who don't have me as a teacher." Renae said, thinking the same as Jacques.

"Don't you mean had you as a teacher? If you didn't notice, the school's not really functioning normally right now, seeing as it's full of a bunch of walking, biting, dead people." Matteo said, correcting the teacher's statement. However, this statement was greeted with laughter from Brian.

"Dead people? Zombies? Are you serious? Zombies? You idiots really think I'm gonna believe there are zombies outside this door? Seriously? Oh, man, I gotta hear this crap story now." Brian was still laughing as he spoke. Jordan stepped up to him with one of the most serious looks he had ever worn, and began to tell the story of what had been happening.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When Jordan was finished, even if Brian still thought they were freaking insane, Matteo looked up to see that they had already been in the gym for eight and a half hours.

"I had no idea time was going by that fast..." Jacques said, amazed as he looked at the clock, now reading about 8:00. The rest of the group had taken to wandering the gym or laying down on the floor. Jordan, noticing Melanie sitting alone in a corner, went to join her.

"Are you okay?" He said as he sat down. "You haven't said a word since we got in here. That's not like you at all..."

"I'm just scared, that's all... This isn't really something they teach you to be ready for in life..." She replied, a small amount of tears welling up in her eyes.

"Fear is impossible to escape from in a situation like this. Doesn't matter who you are, everybody's afraid when faced with something they never expected to face." Jordan said. Their conversation, however, was halted by Jacques speaking to the group.

"We can't stay in here. There's no food here or anything, we need to find another place to go." He said, walking into the middle of the gym.

"Are you insane? And how do you expect we get somewhere else? If you haven't noticed, outside these walls is flooded with those things. We wouldn't make it three feet. This isn't some game or movie where we're going to find a gun randomly laying around somewhere, we have no way to defend ourselves! The closest thing to a gun you'd find in this school is a taser." Jordan said, getting up to confront the idiot jock that was making the idiot suggestions.

"Tasers seem to be effective if you remember that one outside that the cop shot." Matteo said from across the gym.

"Yes, but you can only shoot one target at a time, and it doesn't kill them, just causes them to fall and twitch for a few minutes." Jordan replied.

"He's right, tasers wouldn't be very useful. However, he's wrong about us not having anything to defend ourselves with. This is a gym, there's a storage room over there. Baseball bats, hockey sticks, both very useful for cracking a skull open." Jacques retaliated, and led the group over to the storage room, throwing out hockey sticks and bats. When all seven had something to defend themselves with, they gathered at the front doors.

"Okay, everybody stay close, watch your backs. Don't let them get to you, shout out any info you can, and see if any of us can figure out a place to go. In three, two, one!" Jacques quickly threw the doors open and the entire group rushed out, ready to defend themselves.

The first thing Jordan noticed was that it smelled terrible outside... The second thing he noticed was that they weren't making any noise whatsoever.

The bridge was completely silent.

It was the most deafening thing he had ever heard.

They were on the group instantly, charging and jumping, but still making no noise at all except for the sound of their footsteps, which did create quite a bit of noise itself.

"New wing is too full of them to go through there! We'll have to cross the bridge!" Ms. Stevens shouted out. The rest of the group nodded as the group moved forward, crushing the skull of any of them that came too close. All seemed to be going well, until they reached about five feet from the doors, then the sound that filled the air was the sound of Melanie screaming.

Jordan turned around to see that one had gotten the best of her and was biting her leg. He ran up and bashed its head with his bat, quickly helping her up and onto his back.

"Guys! I need extra cover!" He yelled. Jacques and Matteo immediately came to his side. When they got into Time Square, Ashley shouted out directions to the group.

"To the left! Stairs and straight ahead are too full!" The group followed these directions, and three doors down the hall, arrived at a closed door with blood splatter on the front of it. They opened the door, Jordan and Melanie entering first, Jacques entering last, and then they collapsed, exhausted.

They didn't get to relax for very long, as Melanie began screaming in pain. Ms. Stevens rushed to her side after finding a first aid kit in the teacher's desk, pulling out a ton of gauze. Jacques, meanwhile, tried to access the computer until Matteo stopped him.

"The computers in this building run on a timer, they won't work right now. We gotta wait until morning." He said. Jacques nodded and walked over to the other side of the room. Brian walked over to the door and locked it, realizing they had forgotten to do that on the way in.

"You all get some sleep. I'll take care of her." Ms. Stevens said, and all of them grudgingly agreed. Jordan walked over to Melanie before he went to sleep. She immediately grabbed his shirt.

"What's going to happen to me? To all of us?" She asked, pain very evident in her voice.

"You're going to be fine." Jordan replied. "I'm not going to let anything happen to you. I swear it."

Melanie looked as content as she could possible be, as Jordan went to the other side of the room, laid down on the floor, and got ready to go to sleep. However, first he took a quick look at the room. It was apparently an English room, with literary terms written on the board. However, one term in particular stuck out to him.

Setting.

Next to that one term was another word written by somebody in red marker, probably the same person the blood on the door belonged to. Their dying message. One word.

Hell.

Silence ~ Prologue

I remember the day it happened...
"My name is..."
The day everyone in the world was dragged onto the same level...
"I'm the last survivor of what was once a group of seven..."
The rich became the same as the poor, royalty became no better than their subjects...
"For the past three days we've been chased around West High School..."
Everything we once followed: Money, religion, family, friends, everything was ground into the dust...
"I'm currently taking refuge in one of the higher rooms, where I've found this video camera..."
No longer were we people separated by social, political, or economical statuses...
"However, I know for sure that very soon I will not be a survivor any more..."
Now we were slapped with the cold hard truth that we were nothing but a bunch of animals...
"I'm recording this so that anybody who finds it will remember the group that fought along side me..."
It always surprised me that it took a crisis like this, faced with the inevitable, for us to realize this truth...
"Their names were..."
But what can we do when we call out into the air, and are greeted by nothing but the taste of death, the scent of blood, and the sound of silence?

Shuffle Quiz

One of the things you'll probably come to learn about me some day in some life is that I love music... and by love it I mean that my music is freaking WEIRD. One of the ways I'm going to illustrate it is by doing a Shuffle Quiz. Oh, that's another thing to learn about me, I love these things... don't know why... Anyways, my music gets interesting and confusing results, so here we go.

VERY FURST POST!

Yup, so this is my first post on this blog...

Hopfully, one day this blog will be used for something or some things of actual value. Until then, anybody who reads this is really a fool with nothing better to do than read my blog entries. Sure, I'll put a few stories on here, some thoughts on movies I go see, games I play, animes I watch, blah blah blah. Point is, I'm using it, right?

So, to get things started, I figured I'd tell you a little about myself:

Name's thedobaga, though many people call me Doba as my full username is just inconvenient to say. I unfortunately frequent the dry, desolate, idiot filled wastelands of the McLeodGaming forums, but I simply can't find the drive to leave the place. D:

I'm a fan of many animes, many movies, many games, many people, blah blah blah. Among my favorite animes would have to be Lucky Star, Haruhi Suzumiya, and Azumanga Daioh (LOLWUT, NO NARUTO? BLASPHEMY! I actually hate Naruto, really...), though I'm currently working my way through Elfen Lied and Bleach. Favorite movies are, in order, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, The Dark Knight, and The Last Samurai.

...

Asleep yet?

... No? Okay...

Speaking of asleep, my mom made my entire family watch Al Gore's movie, An Inconvenient Truth, last weekend... I've never seen so many people fall asleep during a movie in that living room ever. Seriously, half of us had fallen asleep except for my mom and her boyfriend.

However, it was worth it, as the day after we went to see District 9. Now that was a good movie, very realistic... aside from the aliens, of course. A very good rendition of how we would react. Felt sorry for the guy, though... No, I am NOT giving spoilers, if you wanna know what happens, go see it yourself. Movie tickets aren't THAT expensive.

Now, I'm going to stop typing... mostly because I've run out of things to type about. I'll see you all (If the amount of people reading this blog could ever be counted as an "all") tomorrow.

BTW: I'll be seeing 9 tomorrow, and probably posting some already written stuff tonight, too. Soo... yeah.

BYE.
